Updgrade for ‘dangerous’ path

By Deniliquin Pastoral Times

Tooleybuc residents will soon have a newly constructed sealed track at the South St and Koraleigh Rd intersection thanks to $80,000 in grant funding.

It is one of five projects to receive a share of $1 million allocated to Murray River Council from the Drought Communities Programme Extension.

The funding will be used to upgrade the track which extends right through to the shopping centre area.

Mayor Chris Bilkey said the current unsealed road is a danger to pedestrians, bike riders and seniors using mobility vehicles and the upgrade would provide a safer passage for people to travel into the town’s centre and encourage people to get on their bikes or walk without the risk of tyre punctures
